Between Errorism and Terrorism

Only a few short years ago, only a tiny fraction of Americans knew anything about the nation of Afghanistan. Before the first Gulf War, Iraq was a mystery too. Now of course, these nations have turned into the stuff of nightmares for the American psyche. Each day brings yet more news of the carnage and retribution being rained down on US forces at the hands of freedom fighters and those otherwise anonymous folks who - had America not invaded - would be living quiet and peaceful lives.

It is easy to paint such resistance with sinister qualities. With Western black propaganda in full swing, there are supposedly 'terrorists' behind every tree in Baghdad and Kabul. But these are not the type who 'hate Western freedoms', or 'want to take over the world.' Nothing of the sort. They are only interested in the West because the West is interested in them. Otherwise, they couldn't care less. They just want their nations to be left alone.

Now of course, a new nation has entered the ranks. Today, it is Pakistan that has edged out the others as the Western media scrambles to paint the country as  'more dangerous than Iraq and Afghanistan combined', and 'a nation on the brink' and a 'failing state'.

We have heard such rhetoric before. According to these supposedly informed observers, Pakistan has apparently been 'on the brink' (of what exactly?) for decades. It has apparently been 'failing' for even longer. Why it won't fail already after trying so hard to do so is not explained. But it doesn't need to be explained. It is just yet more of the same propaganda that was deployed against other Muslim nations. A new target and yet another page opened in the same book of dark arts.

Pakistan was once nondescript and anonymous to the average American. Now though, it seems every talking-head on Fox News is suddenly an expert on topics ranging from the safety of the nuclear weapons arsenal to the breakfast preferences of Nawaz Sharif. Of course, they don't actually know anything at all, and most of the time are just inventing lies and contraversies, but it seems like the mud they throw is starting to stick.

Their propaganda is clearly working, as evidenced by 'Pakistan' being the most searched term on the popular search engine Yahoo. Just as drivers slow down to stare when passing a car wreck, even the average internet user is suddenly fascinated by our great nation. The worlds attention is now acutely focused on Pakistan, and not for the right reasons. These developments should be a cause of great concern for true Pakistani patriots.

As the same nefarious techniques that were deployed against Iraq and Afghanistan are now being deployed ten-fold against Pakistan, we must do everything on our power to counter their efforts. We (PakDestiny.net and PakistanKaKhudaHafiz.com) are on the front line. For over a year we have been countering the black propaganda that has been slung in our beloved nation's direction and have done more to protect the image and reputation of Pakistan than the feckless politicians in Islamabad could ever dream of.

Based solely on independent initiative, we have created a platform to resist the dark designs of our nation's enemies. But now that their propaganda has moved up into full gear and dark clouds have gripped our nation, our efforts are even more vital in countering their lies, spreading hope to our fellow citizens and protecting the interests of our homeland. That is why PakDestiny.net and PakistanKaKhudaHafiz.com needs your help today. Pakistan needs YOU. Play your part now.
